Plagiarism Policy

As of December 2021, the Journal of Political Psychology has implemented mandatory plagiarism screening for all submissions using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin or iThenticate.

Authors are required to submit a plagiarism report along with their manuscript. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 15% (excluding the reference list) will not be considered for review and will be returned to the author without further evaluation.

If plagiarism is detected in a published article, the Editorial Board reserves the right to take appropriate action, including:

  • Retraction of the article,
  • Notification of the author’s affiliated institution (e.g., department head, dean),
  • Reporting the matter to relevant academic or professional bodies.

The journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and expects all submissions to adhere strictly to these principles.
