About the Journal

The Journal of Political Psychology (JPP) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal that publishes original research articles, reviews, and theoretical contributions in the interdisciplinary field of political psychology. The journal aims to explore the psychological mechanisms underlying political behavior, identity, attitudes, decision-making, leadership, ideology, nationalism, polarization, and collective memory.

Published biannually (in June and December), JPP follows a double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic rigor and objectivity.

The journal welcomes contributions from a variety of disciplines including psychology, political science, sociology, communication studies, cultural studies, and related fields, provided they offer novel insights into political psychology.

JPP accepts articles written in Turkish or English, and provides abstracts and key sections in both languages to enhance international reach.

Call for Papers

The Journal of Political Psychology (JPP) is currently accepting submissions for its upcoming issue to be published in December 2025.

JPP is a biannual, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that focuses on theoretical and empirical studies in the interdisciplinary field of political psychology. The journal aims to contribute to the understanding of the psychological mechanisms underlying political and social phenomena in both national and international contexts.

We welcome high-quality contributions from scholars in fields such as political psychology, political science, psychology, sociology, philosophy, theology, economics, law, and other relevant disciplines. Articles may explore, but are not limited to, the following themes:

  • Political behavior and attitudes
  • Voting behavior and political preferences
  • Leadership and mass psychology
  • Political identity and ideology
  • Collective memory and trauma
  • Migration and displacement
  • Political violence, terrorism, and international conflict

All submissions are subject to a double-blind peer-review process. The journal accepts articles in Turkish or English, with abstracts in both languages.

Submission Deadline: October 15, 2024
